Health Communication Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, skilled and organized Health Communication Manager to join our marketing and outreach team. The Health Communication Manager will provide expertise in project management, marketing, communications, public health and social marketing campaigns. The selected candidate will also apply this expertise to the pursuit of new business, namely coordinating the development of and writing sections for proposals and client requests for response.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement public health and social marketing strategic communication and campaign plans and lead project teams to accomplish plan objectives.
  • Lead and participate in federal health business development activities.
  • Implement tools and tactics to execute public health communication plans. This could include developing a range of content, coordinating with graphic design, writing/editing and web development teams, managing social media calendars and channels, etc.
  • Establish and track marketing metrics, conduct analysis and produce reports.
  • Present and communicate complex public health programs and strategies in concise, digestible way
  • Plan and manage meetings and events on behalf of the client.
Qualifications:
  • Experience 5-7 years in health communication strategy/strategic planning at an agency/consulting firm, in-house agency or client side.
  • Experience in federal health business development including planning, writing, and coordinating.
  • Experience in event management and marketing.
  • Experience supporting all facets of a public health communication and marketing plans including strategy development, media outreach, social media marketing, partnership development, and project management. 
  • Excellent organization, writing, editing and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic on phone & in-person
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong listening skills
  • Confidently leads meetings with client and internal teams
  • Previous experience with federal health campaigns/initiatives preferred.
