Prevention Program Coordinator

**This is a grant-funded position which will be effective through September 30, 2020.**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership support for all RAI Coalition meetings, steering committee meetings, and ad hoc committee meetings;
  • Ensure all Drug Free Communities (DFC) grant recordkeeping and recording requirments are met;
  • Facilitate the DFC strategic work plan as described in the grant document such as developing community partnerships; recruiting new coalition members; cordinating community town hall meetings and other coalition events, partnering with volunteers, youth, schools, youth serving organizations and other community-based stakeholders;
  • Provide leadership in planning and coordinating community and school-based education and awareness events, media campaigns, and community/parent outreach;
  • Make presentations about the mission and work of the Coalition, as well as substance use prevention topics, to service clubs and other community groups;
  • Leverage resources for sustainability of the DFC grant and the Coalition: research, identify, and prepare applications to obtain funding for various projects/programs. Develop and administer programs as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Master's degree in the human service field preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience (coalition building, project management, data collection and program evaluation) required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Certified as a prevention professional through the SC Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates, or able to complete the certification process within two years of employment.
