Production Engineering Intern

The intern will assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly production of BASF North America agricultural chemical production facilities. They would track raw material usage, plant reliability, waste generation, product output, conformance to production plan, EHS compliance, and product quality. The intern would learn various chemical processes. Some learning would be for batch processing while other is continuous. The intern would work on optimization through root cause analysis and risk identification (in addition to troubleshooting and process areas this may include items such as winterization and alarm management). Additional projects include: tracking interlock compliance, revising start-up prep manuals and decontamination sheets, and development of mass balance.
