Marketing and Administrative Intern
Interns assist the Artistic Director and Executive Director in building and maintaining marketing strategies to sustain and develop the Congressional Chorus, AYC Summer Camp, and NorthEast Senior Singers. The most important work areas are described in the narrative below.
Interns need not have expertise in all the duties listed. A basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel are a must. Photo, video and audio editing skills are a plus.
Marketing – Interns help:
· The Artistic Director, Executive Director and Youth Programs Director in all aspects of communications and promotion of the Congressional Chorus, AYC, and NorthEast Senior Singers.
· Write persuasive and socially relevant press releases, direct mail, and other communications that promote auditions, membership, and paid and free concert performances.
· Update the website and social media channels.
· Capture, upload, create and edit graphics, pictures, and video for promotional materials.
· Create and distribute mass emails to the organization’s contacts.
· Coordinate grassroots marketing of the Chorus family through distribution of concert and audition posters and postcards throughout the city.
Administrative – Interns help:
· Maintain the Customer Relations Management database and the mass email database.
· Maintain the organization’s files, both electronic and hard copy.
· Research grant makers’ potential for supporting the organization.
