Global Policy Initiatives Internship
Internship Summary
The IIF’s Global Policy Initiatives Department is seeking two outstanding and highly motivated graduate students to assist with various research projects, including sustainable finance, long-term investment policy issues, and assessment of financial sector and market risks. These activities will include being actively involved in ad-hoc research requests, downloading data from official national sources, creating and maintaining spreadsheet models. This is an unpaid internship; however, it offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge, experience, sharpen your research skills and may qualify for academic credit. Scheduling is flexible with the option for either a part-time or full-time internship.
Minimum Qualifications
A successful candidate would have a demonstrable interest or experience in assessment of financial sector developments, excellent research and writing skills and be able to manage a substantive research project independently. Master’s degree in in finance, economics or a related field is preferred but a comparable degree in a related discipline may be acceptable. Proficient with Microsoft Office 360 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Previous knowledge and/or experience with data providers such as Bloomberg or Haver is an advantage.
