Position Summary:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo is recruiting for a Chief of the Division of Genetics. To be successful in this leadership role, you will need to be an exceptional academic physician-leader with the proven values and skills needed to provide programmatic leadership. You will exhibit the balance of commitment to clinical care, education and research that typifies the best in leaders in academic pediatrics.
Interested candidates will have expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with inborn errors of metabolism, genetic disorders and dysmorphic syndromes. Patient care will involve inpatient consultations, newborn screen consultation, outpatient metabolic genetics clinic and pediatric genetics clinic. In this position, you may also have the opportunity to function as Director of the Cytogenetics Laboratory at Buffalo General Medical Center.

Minimum Qualifications:
• MD
• Board-certified in Pediatrics
• Board-certified in Medical Genetics
• Credentials and record of scholarly accomplishment appropriate for appointment at the Professor or Associate Professor level.
• Demonstrated success in leading research with the ability to effectively identify the implications of research findings and recommend specific actions.
• Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines.
