Position Summary:
The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the chemistry of sustainability as it relates to energy and the environment. Candidates pursuing fundamental experimental research to harness the power of synthesis and or measurement to address global challenges in sustainability are particularly encouraged to apply.

An assistant professor is expected to develop a vigorous and funded research program, to be committed to teaching a diverse student body at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the Department, university, and discipline.

The successful candidate will contribute to the growing focus on sustainability in the Department and university, and will complement existing strengths in the Department involving molecular and materials synthesis, measurement and analysis, environmental chemistry, and the basic science of energy storage and conversion.

The emergence of these research centers and institutes has led to a tremendous growth of interdisciplinary research and collaboration among members of our Department.

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in chemistry or related area and an active record of publications and presentations at scientific conferences. The candidate is expected to be dedicated to undergraduate and graduate education.
