Position Type: Internship (full and part-time available) – Hourly pay or stipend available and commensurate with experience. Course credit available

Position Function: Consulting, research

Position Description:
The mission of the Institute for Sustainable Development is to promote innovation and public-private partnerships for inclusive and sustainable community and economic development, long-term recovery, resilience, and transformation.
Successful applicants will:
n Conduct research
n Support ISD events, workshops, training sessions and seminars
n Support disaster recovery and community economic development projects and partnerships
n Develop business cases for ISD and community-based projects
Regardless of project, interns are expected to monitor news and trends, support convenings (ranging from conference calls and webinars to in-person planning retreats and meetings), develop and maintain ISD contacts and databases, and attend relevant briefings and events in the DC area on behalf of ISD.
Qualifications:
Depending on the internship, requirements will include research, business, communications (web + social media), and marketing experience
Successful candidates tend to be courteous, self-motivated, team-oriented, capable multi-taskers, who are conscientious about details, and willing to help out on a range of issues and projects.
