Beaumont Community Coalition Fund Development OneStar VISTA

The purpose of The Community Coalition (TCC) is to build relationships, form partnerships, encourage empowerment and transform our community working with Southeast Texas churches, organizations and volunteers to walk alongside women that choose to restore hope in their spiritual, personal and professional lives as they develop to their fullest potential. We do this through our Personal and Professional Development Christian Women's Job Corps (CWJC) and Educational Support Program Initiative (ESP). Many people of the Southeast Texas community find themselves in a circle of hopelessness. The U. S. Census Bureau statistics of 2012-2016 shows that the poverty level in Texas is 15% with 20% of that being Jefferson County. “Bridges of Hope Christian Women Job Corps” classes will empower women to acquire the skills needed to gain employment or further their education. The Education Support Program helps single mothers have an opportunity to get their degree and become self-sufficient and a viable asset to the community. TCC is seeking a Donor and Fund Development VISTA to diversity funding streams to enable program sustainability. 

Member Duties : The Community Coalition (TCC) Donor and Fund Development OneStar VISTA will build organizational capacity to fight poverty by developing donor relationships and creating a fund development plan to support the sustainability of the organization. This position will research fundraising principles and best practices for the creation of guidelines and implementation of the fund development plan. The VISTA will manage timelines for various fundraising activities as well as prepare and submit grant applications. Additionally, the VISTA will identify and develop corporate, community, and individual donor prospects and opportunities as well as a comprehensive communication plan to promote TCC to its donors and maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of TCC.
