Investment Analyst
About the Position
We are currently seeking an Investment Analyst to join us in our Washington, DC office. This position will give the candidate an opportunity to work with senior professionals and support them in all aspects of the investment process including originating and screening potential investments, as well as modelling, structuring, and executing transactions. The candidate will assist on portfolio management as well. You will work as a part of a small multicultural team, so we require an exceptional work ethic, integrity, and teamwork skills. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the team in performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of potential investment opportunities (e.g. historical financial statements analysis, financial projections analysis, sector analysis, competitive landscape);
- Conducting industry and market research and preparing communication materials;
- Creating and/or reviewing financial models;
- Participating and supporting the structuring of new transactions and investment negotiations;
- Supporting the team in developing pipeline opportunities; and
- Preparing marketing material for potential borrowers and investors.

- Strong business analytics and quantitative skills;
- Knowledge in accounting, financial analysis and financial modeling;
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Outstanding initiative and being a self-starter;
- Genuine commitment to sustainable development;
- Highly motivated, committed to the highest ethical standards;
- Ability to manage multiple work-streams, highly organized and detail-oriented;
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus;
- No specific previous experience required, but background in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or related fields is a plus (we welcome individuals with other backgrounds).
