Communications Intern

Role Summary:

The communications internship at IQ Solutions is an opportunity to acquaint and engage students with our company and the work we do. Interns are generally engaged in undergraduate or graduate study in health communications, public health, health information technology, digital or social media, or business operations fields. Incumbents participate in a supportive role by providing analytical and technical assistance in one of our many disciplines. 

What Will You Be Engaged In Day-To-Day?

  • Providing innovative communication solutions to a range of federal government clients.
  • Providing support on a variety of assignments that may include writing, events management, data compilation, marketing and web research.
  • Researching and tracking media outreach.
  • Monitoring social media.
  • Drafting internal and external communications.
  • Planning and developing a wide range of communications materials, including executive communications, speeches, fact sheets, and briefings.
  • Participating in team meetings.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What Qualifications Will Help You Succeed?

  • B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in communications, marketing, public health or a related field of study preferred. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Documents.
  • Focused, self-directed, good people skills, good writer.
  • Knowledge of major social media platforms.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
