Intern to Join an Interdisciplinary Consulting Group for Costa Rica Biosphere Reserve

We are recruiting and interviewing (in person or virtual) college interns to participate in a small interdisciplinary consulting group to the UCI (Universidad para la Cooperation International)-UNESCO on a Man and the Biosphere Preserve in the heart of Costa Rica’s biodiverse tropical forests. The period of commitment is from July 30-September 7, 2018. The position is unpaid and interns will be responsible for their flights, base living and travel expenses in the field in Costa Rica. We have secured special reduced rates for participating students in this program.

The program is organized by UCI-UNESCO with Eikosphere as our US partner. All expenses will be itemized and managed through Eikosphere for participants in the program. The internship is targeted for graduating seniors to help them prepare and transition for a lifetime of healthy, purposeful employment. Juniors will also be considered for this program. We are looking to fill 7 positions and we will only accept 10 individuals  maximum for this program. The internship was not set up for University credit by the partners; so if credit is desired then please consult your University career center directly. Knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but not required. 


We are looking for an array of students with training, skills, and (if graduated) degrees in business, economics, arts, science, policy, media, communications, film, humanities, and education.
